The Korean-American Chamber of Commerce of Houston (KACC Houston), founded in 1973, serves as the principal organization representing Korean-American entrepreneurs and professionals throughout the Greater Houston area. Established to support the growth and long-term success of Korean-American businesses, the chamber plays a critical role in advancing economic development, facilitating trade and commercial relationships between Houston and Korea, and serving as a unified voice for the Korean-American business community.
KACC Houston provides resources and guidance to help members navigate small-business regulations, access government and institutional programs, and stay informed on key economic and industry trends. Through business seminars, networking events, and community engagement initiatives, the chamber strengthens meaningful connections among business owners, professionals, and civic leaders across the region.
Korean-owned and Korean-headquartered companies maintain a strong and growing presence in the Houston area, underscoring the depth of the economic relationship between Korea and Houston. According to the Greater Houston Partnership’s Global Houston analysis, South Korea ranks among Houston’s leading Asian trading partners, with trade averaging approximately $8.8 billion annually between 2012 and 2023 and reaching an estimated $22.9 billion in 2023. This relationship is further reinforced by the presence of major Korean national enterprises operating in Greater Houston, reflecting the integration of Korean industry into the region’s global economy.
Within Houston’s diverse, internationally connected business landscape, KACC Houston contributes to regional economic vitality by promoting collaboration, supporting the success of Korean-American businesses, and helping local enterprises—ranging from small businesses to U.S. subsidiaries of global firms—navigate opportunities in trade, industry, and cross-cultural commerce.
